The Myth of Inkari
Historical document. Myth that gave rise to the Tawantinsuyu, the Great Empire of the Incas.
SYNOPSIS:
Dr. Óscar Núñez del Prado tells us in 1990, from the community of Qero - a village located at 4800 meters of altitude in the immensity of the Andes, in Peru - the first version known in the academic field of the "Myth of Inkari": the cosmogonic myth that refers to the origin of the Tawantinsuyo, the Great Empire of the Incas.
The Myth of Inkari was compiled in that village in 1955 by a scientific expedition led by Dr. Óscar. During that expedition, members of Q´ero revealed that the Myth of Inkari was not a matter of chronicles, archives and history; but the key to the meaning of life, of their people, the Q`ero nation.
As long as the ritual corresponding to the myth is practiced, even by a small group of people, the society is still living…
